If you are targeting CLAT 2027, you are likely in Class 10th or just entering Class 11th. Many students and parents are confused about the exam timeline. It is crucial to know that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is conducted in the December of the previous year.

Based on the patterns set by the Consortium of NLUs for recent years, here is the expected schedule:

• Board Exam Balance: By starting early, you can finish the CLAT syllabus before your Class 12th Board pressure kicks in.
• GK Backlog: GK is vast. A 2-year window allows you to build a solid foundation of Static GK and Current Affairs without cramming.
• Reading Speed: CLAT is a reading-intensive exam. Developing reading speed takes months of practice, which you have right now.

To appear for CLAT 2027, the candidate must satisfy the following criteria:

• Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination.
• Appearing Candidates: Students appearing for their Class 12th Board exams in March/April 2027 are also eligible to apply.
• Minimum Percentage: 45% marks for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and 40% marks for SC/ST categories in 10+2.
• Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for CLAT.
