What SLAT is (and what it is not)
SLAT — the Symbiosis Law Admission Test — is the law-track paper inside the Symbiosis Entrance Test system. Students sit it when they want an undergraduate law seat at a Symbiosis Law School. The participating campuses have included Pune, Noida, Hyderabad and Nagpur; that list can change, so treat the official SET portal as the source of truth, not a coaching brochure. Knowledge Nation will not invent a “SLAT centre” in those cities. We teach from one national bench, live online, plus two classrooms: Delhi (Hauz Khas) and Gurgaon (Sector 14).
SLAT is not CLAT. CLAT is the Consortium paper for NLUs. SLAT is shorter, usually sixty questions in sixty minutes, commonly split into five sections of twelve: Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and General Knowledge. Negative marking has often been nil — confirm the live notification every year. Our free Mock Test 1 follows that familiar shape so you can practise the clock, not collect a PDF you never open.
How Knowledge Nation prepares SLAT students
The same faculty listed on Our Faculty already teach legal principle-fact, critical reasoning, RC and current-affairs hooks for CLAT and AILET. SLAT reuses those muscles in a tighter paper. You do not need a second invented “SLAT-only celebrity batch” to start. You need a timed mock, a key you can defend, and a week plan that repairs the section that failed.
Online students in any state sit the same live class as a student in Hauz Khas. If you later add a campus seat in Delhi or Gurgaon, the teacher names do not change. Fees and counselling start at Take Admission and the published Fees 2026 page. For how class weeks are sequenced, read the methodology article.
Who this hub is for
Class 11–12 students targeting Symbiosis law schools alongside or instead of NLUs. Droppers who already write CLAT mocks and need a 60-minute SLAT dress rehearsal. Families outside Delhi-NCR who want a free paper they can attempt tonight without posting a Word file. It is not a substitute for the official SET application. It is not an official previous-year paper dump.
Skill overlap with CLAT (use these pages)
Legal reasoning on SLAT is shorter than a CLAT passage set, but the move is the same: read the principle, apply the fact, ignore sympathy. Start with CLAT legal reasoning. Logical and analytical items sit next to logical reasoning. RC is the English habit. GK is the filtered hook method on current affairs and GK. After Mock 1, repair with those four pages rather than buying a third book pile.
If you also sit CLAT or AILET, use the CLAT / AILET free mock enrolment for a timed interface. That product is separate: this SLAT paper stays on the page so you can attempt and check the key without a login. Institute outcomes for the NLU track are published on CLAT Results.
