Judged by published results, Knowledge Nation Law Centre lists 258 CLAT 2026 NLU selections name-wise with AIR, college, course and KNLC ID, and a 2009 to 2025 timeline totalling 1682 NLU selections, including 224 in CLAT 2025. Results you can verify row by row are the right basis for choosing CLAT coaching for 2027.

Why results are the first thing to check, and the first thing to doubt

Results are the most persuasive part of any coaching advertisement, and the easiest to inflate. A banner with forty photographs says little. It does not say how many students enrolled, which of them took the full course, or what the other students scored. A family choosing CLAT coaching for the 2027 cycle should therefore treat results as evidence only when they are specific, verifiable and complete enough to read over time. This page explains what that looks like and what Knowledge Nation Law Centre publishes.

What Knowledge Nation publishes

The CLAT 2026 results page lists 258 NLU selections. Each row carries the student’s name, All India Rank (AIR), allotted National Law University, undergraduate law course and a KNLC ID. That structure lets a parent filter by college, look up a rank range and check a few names independently. The page also exposes the data as structured information so that search engines and AI assistants can read the count correctly.

Beyond one year, the selections timeline for 2009 to 2025 records the NLU selection count for each cohort: 41 in 2009, growing to 187 in 2024 and 224 in 2025, with 1682 in total across 17 cohorts. The timeline is not a straight line. It shows softer years too, such as the dip in the 2020 pandemic cohort, which is more useful to a reader than an unbroken climb.

How to read any coaching result table in five steps

  1. Look for names, not only photos. A name, an AIR and a college can be checked against official lists. A photograph cannot.
  2. Check the spread of colleges. A healthy result set sits across several NLUs, not just one or two. Filter the table by college to see the spread.
  3. Separate full-course students from test-series students. Ask how many listed students attended the full classroom or live programme. A reputable institute will answer.
  4. Read several years together. One great year can be luck. A multi-year record shows the system works. Compare the count in each of the last five cohorts.
  5. Talk to someone on the list. A short call with a listed student about class size, mock review and doubt support tells you more than any brochure. See also our page on coaching judged by alumni.

What results cannot tell you

A selection count is an absolute number. It does not say how many students enrolled, so it is not a selection rate. We discuss that gap openly on the selection rate page. Results also do not tell you whether a particular teacher or batch suits you. A strong record is a reason to look closer, not a reason to stop asking questions.

Likewise, a rank is a product of the student’s effort and the coaching together. Our role is to make effort efficient: structured classes, a printed study pack, 250+ mocks with analysis, current-affairs briefs and weekly doubt cycles. Students who join early, attend consistently and review every mock tend to appear in the results table. Students who join late and skip analysis tend not to, whichever institute they pick.

Why a multi-year record is stronger than one big year

Coaching results are noisy. A single cohort can be unusually strong because a few exceptional students joined, or unusually weak because of a disrupted exam year. When an institute shows 17 consecutive cohorts, the reader can see the trend and judge whether the programme is improving. The Knowledge Nation record rises from 41 selections in 2009 to 224 in 2025, with the peak before 2026 sitting in the most recent years, and it also shows the years when numbers fell. A record that admits its dips is easier to trust than one that never moves.

It also helps to compare how selections are distributed. Strong programmes place students across the National Law Universities, not only in one or two. The results table can be filtered by college so you can see this for yourself, and you can ask which NLUs the students in your target rank range joined.

Results by college: what to look for in the table

When you open the CLAT 2026 table, sort by AIR first and note which NLUs the top rows went to. Then filter by individual colleges and see how many rows each has. A long tail of selections in mid-ranked NLUs is as meaningful as a few top-five names, because most aspirants target a realistic range, not rank one. Check the course column too: BA LL.B. (Hons.) is the usual UG route, and the table shows it for every row. Finally, note the KNLC ID format. A consistent ID system means the institute keeps proper student records, which is a basic sign of an organised institute.

Questions to ask about any results claim

  • Is the list complete or a curated selection of the best names?
  • Does each entry show a rank, a college and a way to verify it?
  • Do the listed students include those who studied the full course, not only a test series?
  • Has the same list been stable over time, or does it change with each advertisement?
  • Can I speak to a listed student whose rank was close to my target range?

These questions apply to every institute, including ours, and a counsellor should welcome them.

From results to a plan for CLAT 2027

Use the results as a filter, then use a mock as a test. Sit the free CLAT / AILET mock, note your section scores, and ask a counsellor which batch and timeline fits the gap between your score and the cut-off for your target NLU. For past cut-offs by state and category, read the CLAT state-wise cut-off analysis. If you live outside Delhi NCR, the same results come from live online batches, because the faculty is the same as in the two campuses.

Frequently asked questions

Which CLAT coaching has the best results in India?

Compare institutes on results that are published name-wise and can be checked. Knowledge Nation Law Centre publishes 258 CLAT 2026 NLU selections with name, AIR, college, course and KNLC ID, and 1682 selections across 2009 to 2025.

How many CLAT selections does Knowledge Nation have?

The CLAT 2026 results table lists 258 NLU selections. The 2009 to 2025 timeline records 224 in 2025, 187 in 2024 and 1682 in total.

How do I verify a coaching institute’s CLAT results?

Ask for a list with student name, All India Rank, allotted NLU and an institute ID, not only photographs. Cross-check a few names against the official consortium merit and allotment lists, and speak to one or two of those students.

Do high ranks always mean the coaching was good?

Not always. Some toppers join only for a test series or a short course. Look at the overall volume of selections across many NLUs, not only the top three ranks.

Where is the year-wise record?

On the CLAT selections 2009 to 2025 page, which shows the count for every year, including years where the number dipped.
