How regular mocks work if you do not live in Delhi-NCR
A mock you never write does not exist. Knowledge Nation Law Centre puts mocks on a calendar so that students in Imphal and students in Hauz Khas feel the same Saturday pressure. You sit the paper in the mode your batch uses — typically a timed online interface for the national live programme, and the same academic paper for classroom batches in Delhi and Gurgaon. The institute will not invent a third centre in your city. It will give you a start time and a key.

What a regular mock cycle actually contains
A paper that looks like the live exam’s reading load, written and keyed by the research desk — not a 2016 leftover. CLAT mocks protect the five-section shape. AILET mocks protect heavier English and legal density. Mixing the two without a label is how students learn the wrong timing. KN labels the paper.
A start-to-end time rule. You do not “pause for tea” in a scored mock. Online proctoring and classroom invigilation differ by venue; the academic rule does not: one sitting, one file.
A published key and a discussion. Fighting a bad option in private WhatsApp is not review. Review is: this is why B is weaker than C, this is the principle you skipped. Faculty who taught the week’s legal or English class often lead that hour. Research retires items that cannot be defended.
A score that enters the progress process described on how KN measures students’ progress. Without that, regular mocks become a hobby of collecting percentiles you never use.
Repair, not shame. A 42 is information. The next week’s material and doubt slot target the section that failed. That is why mocks sit next to study material and personalized guidance in this nine-tile cluster — they are one machine.
Typical month: three or four full papers (batch-dependent), plus sectional tests when a teacher needs a tighter sample. Exact counts are counselling facts, not a number we invent here to look larger. If a counsellor quotes a number, ask which exam and which batch. Believe the calendar you receive after joining, not a rumour.
Regular also means you do not binge eight papers in December and zero in August. A mock is a training stress, not a festival. Students who skip the monsoon months and then “get serious” after Diwali usually discover that stamina is a muscle. KN’s calendar exists to stop that binge. If you miss a Saturday, you do not silently drop the series — you tell support and sit the next one. Two misses in a row should trigger the progress conversation, not a motivational quote.
Interface literacy is part of the mock, especially for online India. You must know how to flag, how to move sections, and how not to lose four minutes hunting a review list. Classroom students in Delhi and Gurgaon still need that literacy because CLAT itself is a computer paper. Sitting only on print at Sector 14 and never touching a timed screen is an incomplete mock education. Ask counselling how your batch splits print discussion and on-screen sitting. Both can be “regular”; neither should be missing for a national exam.
Keys must be boring. A mock culture that celebrates trick options trains paranoia. KN’s research desk is told to write a defensible key. Anyone targeting CLAT or AILET this cycle who can spare a full paper sitting. DU LL.B. / CUET students who need timed polity-and-legal sets — tell the counsellor so you are not writing only CLAT shapes. Judiciary foundation students use a different writing drill; do not assume every Saturday is a 120-minute CLAT. Parents who want evidence: mocks are the evidence. Students who only want notes will hate this tile, and they should read it anyway.
